Private graveside services for Harvey R. Baker, 86, Logansport, will be on Wednesday in Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Logansport.
He died at 8:16 a.m. Saturday, May 2, 2009, in Woodbridge Health Campus, Logansport.
Born Oct. 19, 1922, in Cass County, he was the son of Harvey Baker and Daisy Mae Lantz. He was married on Oct. 18, 1947, in Logansport, to Elizabeth J. Harmon.
Harvey was the former owner and operator of West Side Auto Sales and also worked at Fernbaugh Jewelry Store as a watchmaker.
Member of the Fathers Auxiliary of the V.F.W. Post No. 3790, F.O.P. Lodge No. 71, Eagles Lodge No. 323 and life-time member of the American Bowling Association.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth J. Baker, Logansport; daughter, Beverly A. Kranz and husband Bill, Zionsville; son, Larry L. Stienbarger and wife Jill, Logansport; daughter, Diane K. Stienbarger and friend Mike Porter, Westfield; sisters, June Harmon, Logansport, and Mabel Wolfe, Logansport; brother, Claude Baker and wife Helen, Logansport; two grandchildren, Chris L. Stienbarger and wife Cara, Logansport, and Kyle W. Kranz, Zionsville; stepgrandson, Nathan Grubb; and several nieces and nephews.
One son, Donald Ray Baker; one brother; and one sister preceded in death.
The Rev. William Art Maloney will officiate.
