Hazel Zimmerman

Hazel L. Zimmerman, 91, formerly of Logansport, passed away Friday, January 2, 2015 at Azalealand Nursing Home in Savannah, GA.

Born December 7, 1923 in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Floyd R. and Pearl Marie (Wilson) Hults.  On May 9, 1948 in Logansport she married Martin R. Zimmerman who preceded in death on May 11, 2014.

Hazel was a member of the Blue Ball Church where she taught Sunday School and served in women's fellowship.  She was a Kidney Fund volunteer, a graduate of Logansport High School and Logan Business College.  Hazel worked in Penney's Department Store before becoming a wife and mother to two daughters.

Surviving is one daughter, Diana Zimmerman, Savannah, GA; son in law, Pat (Joanie) Moody, Fort Wayne; sister, Linda Schlick, Logansport; two brothers, Edsel W. (Dorothy) Hults, Logansport; Wayne P. Hults, Hot Springs, AK; Sister in law, Shirley Hults, Carmel; special friend, Mala Kaufman; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Marsha Zimmerman, and one brother, Jerry Hults.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, January 9, 2015 in the Gundrum Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Memorials may be made to the Blue Ball Women's Fellowship to whom Hazel enjoyed her continued contacts through her later years.
