Helen Keller

Helen Lucille Keller, 81, Logansport, passed away Friday July 22, 2016 at 3:29 am in Woodbridge Health Campus.

Born on September 2, 1934 in Royal Center, Indiana she was the daughter to the late Paul and Jennie (Miller) Simpson. On February 23, 1958 in Royal Center Helen married Thomas D. Keller who preceded in death November 4, 1994.

Helen retired from Logansport State Hospital where she worked as a Registered Nurse. She was a member of Florence Nightingale.  Helen enjoyed reading, spending time with family, taking care of others, and volunteering for hospice for several years. She attended the Foursquare Gospel Church and was active in the Easter Seal.

Surviving is one daughter, Beth A. (Ron) Stone, Anderson, IN; two sons, Alan D. (Chris) Keller, Logansport, IN; Patrick L. Keller, Logansport, IN; sister, Kay (Paul) Hardy, Logansport, IN; sister-in-law, Jackie Wolfe, Peru; six grandchildren, Joey Keller and fiancé Dwayne Wright, Indianapolis, IN; Catie Keller, Logansport, IN; Haylee (Roy) Reed, Laramie, WY; Alexandria (Paul) Cattorn, Colorado Springs, CO; Nicholas Keller and Fiancé Erica Snowberger, Logansport, IN; David Keller and Fiancé   Angela Hall, Logansport, IN; and six great grandchildren.

Preceding Helen in death is one daughter, Jane Ann Keller, brother, Bill Simpson, two sisters, Donna Carlson and Betty Herrick.

A Celebration of life will be held at 1:00pm on Monday July 25, 2016 in Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Sharol Eaker Officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport, IN.

Visitation will be held from 11:00am until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Easter Seal or Foursquare Gospel Church.
