Irene Adams

Irene A. Adams, 94, of Logansport, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Century Villa Health Care in Greentown, IN.

Born on March 11, 1926 in Auckland, New Zealand, she is the daughter to the late John and Annie L. (Pickering) Carpenter.  On March 9, 1945 in Edmonton, England, she married Corbin E. Adams who preceded in death on December 5, 2018.

Irene along with her husband owned and operated the R-Bar in Logansport until 1988. She was a member of the old Market Street United Methodist Church which is now Cross Wind United Methodist Church. Irene was also a member of the American Legion Post 60 Ladies Auxiliary and V.F.W. Post 3790 Ladies Auxiliary.

Surviving are two daughters, Diane (Jeff) Reed of Robinson, IL; Dawn (Tim) Spangler of Kokomo; son, David (Carol) Adams of Indianapolis; three sisters, Rita Stace, June Fleming and Anne King of New Zealand; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 3 brothers.

A private service and burial will take place at Ever-Rest Memorial Park Cemetery.
