Isom H. Watterson, 92, Logansport, died at 6:40 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, in Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Isom was born March 25, 1920, in Lawrence County, Indiana, to Charles Watterson and Nora Collins. On Jan. 11, 1940, he married Della Jane Piercy, who preceded in death Nov. 23, 1989.
He was the former grounds keeper for the Logansport Golf Club for over 44 years. Isom was a member of the Anoka United Methodist Church and was a former member of the Civilian Conservation Corps.
Survivors include three sons, Larry Watterson and wife Tina, Anoka, Ind., Roger Watterson and wife Linda, Logansport, and David Watterson and wife Pam, Logansport; two daughters, Barbara Barden, Plant City, Fla., and Linda Joseph, Onekama, Mich.; companion, Wanda Alberta Hoch, Logansport; four sisters, Mary Ruth Atchison, Mitchell, Ind., Loraine Morrow, Kentucky, Madge Reynolds, Mitchell, Ind., and Norma Tincher, Mitchell, Ind.; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Five brothers, two sisters and two son-in-laws preceded in death.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Gundrum Funeral Home. The Rev. Bill Collins will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Gundrum Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to a special fund established to plant trees at the Logansport Golf Club in memory of Isom.
