Jackie Lowery

Jackie D. Lowery, 73, Logansport, died at 12:02 p.m. Saturday, May 31, 2008, in Memorial Hospital, Logansport.

Born Oct. 13, 1934, in Galatia, Ill., he was the son of Herman and Essie M. Stanley Lowery. He was married on May 3, 1963 in Centralia, Ill., to Tammie C. Hart, who survives.

Jackie retired in 1991 as an ironworker. He was a member of Local Ironworker Union No. 379, Lafayette.

Also surviving is his son, Dennis Lowery and wife, Connie, Vienna, Ill.; three daughters, Deborah McBride and husband, Donnie, Johnston City, Ill., Jeri Samples and husband, Danny, Johnston City, Ill., and Amy Whittaker and husband, Dwayne, New Waverly; and grandchildren, Jennifer Niekes and husband, Mike, Marion, Ill., Kasi McBride and Tara Samples, Johnston City, Ill., Jasmine Lence and Trenton Lowery, Vienna, Ill., and Cory Pursch and Casey Croussore, New Waverly.

One brother, Robert Dennis Lowery, preceded in death.

Rev. Jay Franklin will officiate the graveside rites which will be held on Wednesday at 3:00 P.M. in the Vienna Fraternal Cemetery, Vienna, Ill.

Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Monday in Gundrum Funeral Home.
