James Gish

James G. Gish, 79, of Camden, passed away Monday, December 5, 2022, at Memorial Hospital in Logansport.

Born on September 10, 1943, in Logansport, Jim is the son to the late Francis Gilbert and Lucille (Shaw) Gish. On June 19, 1966, in Young America, Indiana, Jim married Phyllis Jane Simpson who survives.

Jim retired from Chrysler in 2001 after 36 years of service. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting, playing the lottery, spending time with his family, especially watching his grandchildren’s sporting events.

Surviving, along with his wife PJ, are three sons, Jimmy (Jenelle) Gish of Camden; Rodney (Julie) Gish of Flora; Nick (Beth) Gish of Logansport; two grandsons, Jarrett (Libby) Gish and Austin Gish; four granddaughters, Kayla Gish, Emma Lewis, Keirstyn Gish and Kylee Gish; great granddaughter, Rori Gish; one brother, Jerry Gish of Logansport.

Jim was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Downham and Linda Gish.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, December 9, 2022, at Faith Church of Christ (1701 Michigan Road, Burlington, IN) with Pastor David Smook officiating. Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery in Deer Creek, Indiana.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at Gundrum Funeral Home.  There will also be visitation one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Friday.
