James L. Guy, 69, Logansport, died at 9:45 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 23, 2011, at his residence.
Born May 22, 1941, in Cass County, he was the son of James Delton and Amanda Luella Smith Guy. He was married April 30, 1960, in the home of the Rev. Virden Graham, to Carmen K. Strasser, who survives.
He worked eight years for RCA and 31 years at Pepsi-Cola Company.
Mr. Guy was a member of Center Presbyterian Church, Teamsters and had a black belt in the art of tae kwon do.
Surviving are his wife, Carmen Guy, Logansport; mother, Luella Guy, Monticello; children, Dawn Smith and husband, Loren, Logansport, Shawn Guy and wife, Terri, Wabash, Kristy Eidson and husband, Mike, and Kelly Drye and husband, Tracy, all of Logansport, and Melissa Beckley and husband, Gary, Riverside, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; four honorary great-grandchildren; one devoted dog, Puddles; and sister, Joyce Hattabaugh and husband, Bob, Monon.
He was preceded in death by his beloved father, James Delton Guy.
Private graveside services will be at Kistler Cemetery in Royal Center with the Rev. Bill Kleymann officiating.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Gundrum Funeral Home.
