James Lee Keeler, 62, Logansport, died at 12:30 a.m. Friday, April 29, 2011, at St. Vincent Hospice, Indianapolis.
Born Dec. 23, 1948, in Logansport, he was the son of Russell Keeler and Mayola Stewart. He was married June 6, 1987, in Logansport, to Lois J. Fisher.
He retired from Matthew Warren on June 30, 2009, after 39 years as a spring grinder.
Jim enjoyed fishing and mushroom hunting. He was an avid Colts fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR.
Surviving are his wife, Lois J. Keeler, Logansport; daughters, Jodi Lynn Fivecoate, Santee, Calif., and Beth Ann Justice, Logansport; stepdaughters, Sandra D. Squier and husband, Rodric, Camden, Carol Jenkins and husband, Greg, Peru, and Tina Brown and husband, Jeff, Logansport; stepson, Roger Douglas, Lafayette; brother, Marvin Keeler and wife, Suzie, Burrows; 12 stepgrandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his K-9, Gus.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Aaron Gross officiating.
Burial will be private at a later date.
Friends may call from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
