James âJimâ H. LaOrange, 83, Logansport, died at 11 p.m. Thursday, March 20, 2008 at White County Memorial Hospital, Monticello.
He was born in Logansport on Oct. 6, 1924 to Harry LaOrange and Marie Cook.
He married Arlene Gene Davis on Sept. 9, 1950 in Greentown. She died on May 10, 1994.
He worked for the Logansport Municipal Utilities for 35 years in the electrical department. Jim also worked at Tioga Orchard in Monticello.
He was a member of VFW Post No. 3790 and American Legion Post No. 60.
He was a United State Navy Veteran during World War II.
Survivors include sons, Terrance D. (Kathy) LaOrange, Monticello; Steven K. (Linda) LaOrange, Edgewood, Mass.; and John (Nancy) LaOrange (Nancy) Logansport; daughter, Sherry Boston, Metropolis, Ill.; sister, Ruth Ann (Walley) Whistle, Texas; sister-in-law, Donna Burk, Logansport; brother-in-law, Merl Davis, Fla.; grandsons, Terry (Stephanie) LaOrange, Monticello; Greg (Amy) LaOrange, Monticello; Joe LaOrange, Logansport; Jerry LaOrange, Logansport; Bill Jeffers, Peru; and Matthew Boston, Metropolis, Ill.; granddaughters, Jina LaOrange, Logansport; and Shelly Popejoy, Logansport; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Gundrum Funeral Home, Logansport.
Services are at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Dr. Horace Smith officiating.
Burial will take place at the Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Logansport, with Full Military Graveside Rites.
