James Smith

James Edward Smith, 54, of Logansport, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021 in his residence.

Born on April 18, 1966 in Logansport, he is the son of Jack and Margaret (Strong) Smith.

Jim graduated from Indiana State with a bachelor’s degree in aviation technology. He was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. He then went on to receive his elementary education degree from IUK.   Jim was a substitute teacher in the Logansport and Caston School Corporations.

Surviving along with his mother, Maggie, is a brother, Jeff S. (Kelly) Smith of Logansport.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Smith.

A graveside service was held on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Mount Hope Cemetery with Pastor Bert Stover officiating.
