James Young

James Glenn Young, 89 of Oxford, MI, formerly of Logansport, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Metro Health Hospital in Wyoming, MI.

Born on June 2, 1928 in Broadtop Township, Pennsylvania, he was the son to the late Walter and Veora (Barton) Young. On February 14, 1953 in Royal Center, Indiana he married Edith Irene Carlson who preceded him in death on September 19, 2009.

James retired from Logansport Ford where he worked as a mechanic. He was a United States Army Veteran and a member of Cross Wind United Methodist Church.

Surviving him are two sons, David A. (Jenny) Young, Logansport; James A. Young, Indianapolis; a daughter, Susan A. (Eric) Watson, Oxford, MI; five granddaughters, Angie Young, Belle, MO; Paula (Dustin) Gore, Indianapolis; Jill (Ryan) Bouillon, Syracuse, IN; Lisa (Josiah) Kennedy, Abilene, TX; Tammy Spencer, Logansport; grandson, Michael (Rachel) Spencer, Logansport; and fifteen great grandchildren.

Preceding in death is one granddaughter, Nicole Burnett, one grandson, Joe Kratzer, three brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be held from 1:00pm until 2:00pm on Friday April 13, 2018 in Gundrum Funeral Home.
