Services for Jane K. Crump, 91, Logansport, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Gundrum Funeral Home.
She died at 11:04 a.m. Sunday, June 15, 2008, in Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born Aug. 21, 1916, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Edward and Anna Katherine Brautigan Horstman. She was married Jan. 6, 1949, in Logansport, to Everett âZebâ Crump, who preceded in death June 19, 2002.
Jane retired in 1979 after 36 years as a telephone operator. She was a former telephone operator for Mountains State Telephone Company in Albuquerque, N.M., and later transferred to General Telephone Co. in Logansport.
She was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church, Niddee Shrine Guild and Hillbilly Clan 14. She was a 1934 graduate of Logansport High School and a 1936 graduate of Betty Jeanâs Beauty School in Fort Wayne. Jane enjoyed playing euchre, her pets and spending time with her family and friends
Surviving are daughter, Paula Lamb and husband, David, Logansport; daughter-in-law, Tammy Crump, Indianapolis; nephew, Steve Horstman, Columbus, Ohio; nieces, Diana Crump, Logansport, and Patty Helvie, North Carolina; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Alan Crump, and one brother, Gordon Horstman.
Pastor Doug Mankell will officiate. Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
Friends may call one hour before services Thursday at the funeral home.
