Services for Jane A. Schnepp, 60, Royal Center, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Gundrum Funeral Home.

She died at 3:15 a.m. Sunday, May 31, 2009, in St. Vincent Heart Center of Indiana.

Born April 2, 1949, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Herbert B. and Martha J. Brown Young. She was married Oct. 25, 1975, in Logansport, to Jeff D. Schnepp, who survives in Royal Center.

Jane retired in 2005 as a court reporter in the Cass County courts. During her 30 years of service, she had worked in several different offices in the courthouse.

She was a member of Royal Center United Methodist Church and Mother of Twins Club. Jane enjoyed crocheting, gardening, reading, crossword puzzles, cooking, collecting cookbooks and spending time with her grandchildren. Jane was a 1967 graduate of Logansport High School and received an associate’s degree in paralegal from Indiana University of Kokomo.

Also surviving are daughters, Jennifer Crowel and husband, Jeff, Idaville, and Jacquelynn Schnepp, Logansport; sons, Jeff Schnepp, Texas, and James Schnepp, Royal Center; mother, Martha Young, Logansport; brother, Mark Young and wife, Lisa, Branson, Mo.; five grandchildren, Evan Crowel, Owen Crowel, Caitlyn Hare, Cameron Hare and Joslyn Schnepp; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Sharon Young.

The Rev. Kevin Drane will officiate. Burial will be in Pisgah Cemetery in Logansport.

Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Family Life Center of the Royal Center United Methodist Church.
