Jerry Collins

Jerry Collins, 78, of Logansport, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2015 at his residence.

Born on November 15, 1936 in Logansport, he was the son of the late Ted and Martha M. (Moss) Collins.  On July 22, 1988 in Henderson, Kentucky he married Sharlene Etta Hall who preceded in death on June 27, 2000.

Jerry was a United States Army Veteran.  He was always on the go and had a smile on his face.  Jerry loved spending time with his family and friends.

Surviving are four daughters, Kelly (Scott) Barbour; Genie (Rod) Snow; Kathy (Brian) DeFord; and Kim Strong, all of Logansport; two sons, Pete (Diana) Collins, Missouri; Ed Feltis, Logansport; brother, Danny (Judy) Collins, Logansport; fifteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one grandson, one great grandson, six brothers, and four sisters.

A celebration of life with full Military Rites will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 18 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Rev. Aaron Gross officiating.  Burial will be in Ever-Rest Cemetery at a later date.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Saturday.

Memorials may be made to the V.A. Hospital in Indianapolis.
