Jerry L. Dingeldein, 75, of Logansport, passed away Friday, Nov. 7, 2014 at 5:57 pm in Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born February 13, 1939 in Logansport, he was the son of the late George R. and Kathleen L. "Brandt" Dingeldein.
On August 5, 1960 in Logansport Jerry married Barbara A. Davis who survives.
Jerry was a an electrician by trade and retired in 1994 as the utilities superintendant of Grissom Air Force Base.
Jerry was a 1957 graduate of Logansport High School, member of the Bunker Hill Masonic Lodge #683, Scottish Rite Valley of Fort Wayne, Mizpah Shrine of Fort Wayne and the Logansport Shrine Club. He enjoyed gardening, flowers and feeding the birds, Jerry was a generous man, always looking out for and contributing to the well being of others. He also served his country through the United States Air Force.
Survivors include his wife, and one daughter, Wendy Waltz, Logansport; one grandson, Mavrick Waltz, Logansport; two brothers, James A. Dingeldein, Logansport; Hal (Jan) Dingeldein- Brandt, Pleasant Hills, PA; sister-in-law, Susie (Rich) Cox; Logansport; brother-in-law, Brad (Jaynie) Davis, Indianapolis; nine nieces and nephews, Kelly Cox; Brock (Jenni) Cox; Heidi (Doug) Lucy; Eric (Eleanor) Cox; Brandi (Brad) Rozzi; Clayton Dingeldein; Mike Davis; Gus Davis and Elise Davis; several great nieces and nephews; several close 1st cousins.
One son, Robbie Dingeldein, preceded in death.
A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Gundrum Funeral Home with burial to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery with full military graveside rites.
A visitation will be held from 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
