Services for Joan Farris, 76, Logansport, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in Gundrum Funeral Home.
She died at 4:21 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2006, in Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born Oct. 30, 1929, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Sanford and Eva Bechdol Cunningham. She was married March 27, 1950, in Jacksonville, N.C., to James William Bill Farris, who survives.
Mrs. Farris was a homemaker and a member of Main Street United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are three sons, Richard Dick Farris and his wife, Toni, and Danny Farris and his wife, Diana, all of Logansport, and Steve Farris, Royal Center; three daughters, Susan English and her husband, John, Switz City, Mary Black and her husband, James, Delphi, and Janice Thomas and her husband, Brad, Athens, Ala.; 16 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
One son, John D. Farris, and one daughter-in-law, Bonita Farris, preceded in death.
The Rev. William Art Maloney will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Walton IOOF Cemetery, Walton.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
