John Girton

John Franklin Girton, 59, of Logansport, passed away in his residence surrounded by his family and friends on Monday March 20, 2017.

Born April 6, 1957 in Logansport he was the son to the late Jack D. and June R. (Hayden) Girton.

John installed flooring for a living.

Known for his free spirit, John loved fishing, gardening, mushroom hunting and spending time with his dog Daisy and his close friend Kay.

Surviving are two sons, Michael (Tina) Girton, Logansport; Luke Ankrom, Bloomington, IN; two daughters, Brandy Girton, Logansport; Heather Mowery, Logansport; one sister, Jill (Roger) Bender, Bunker Hill, IN; one brother, Joseph (Lisa) Girton, Logansport; several nieces, nephews and Best friend Kay Lugabihl.

Preceded in death is one sister, Julia Hall.

Visitation will be held from 4:00pm until 6:00pm on Thursday March 23, 2017 in Gundrum Funeral Home with a time of sharing memories beginning at 6:00PM.

Memorials may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
