John T. Justice, 93, of Cass County, passed away Monday, December 29, 2014 in his residence.

Born July 15, 1921 in Cass County, Indiana he was the son of the late Robert O. and Ethel (Scott) Justice.  On May 20, 1940 in Indianapolis he married Martha Been Justice who survives.

Since 1946 he raised Angus cattle and won several awards for them during his lifetime. He also enjoyed his horses, mules, and the companionship of his dog. He and his wife traveled throughout the United States, and to Scotland, England, Wales, Norway, and the Republic of Ireland. He loved the time he spent in west Texas as a teenager working on a ranch, and reluctantly returned, at the behest of his mother, to graduate from Logansport High School in 1940. He greatly missed his two sons, Courtney and David, who pre-deceased him. He took pleasure in visiting with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving along with his wife, Martha, are three granddaughters, Kirsten Justice, Cornelius, NC; Susannah Hall-Justice (Bryan Coulter), West Lafayette; Emily Justice, Cass County; grandson, Owen (Catherine) Justice, Minneapolis, MN; two great granddaughters, Marina Bundy, Cornelius, NC; Ella Justice-Coulter, West Lafayette; two great grandsons, John Bundy, Silverthorn, CO; and Pax Justice, Minneapolis, MN.

He was pre-deceased by two sons, Courtney and David Justice; two brothers Robert S. and William Justice; and a sister, Jane O’Donnell.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 3, 2015 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Smith officiating. Burial with full military graveside rites will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Keeps Creek, Cass County.

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of service on Saturday.
