Services for John E. Myers, 93, Logansport, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 15, in Gundrum Funeral Home.

He died at 11:16 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2009, in Chase Convalescent Center.

He was born Sept. 18, 1915, in Cass County, the son of Glen and Hazel Anderson Myers. He was married March 6, 1939, in Logansport to Velma M. Howard.

He was a retired farmer, and he had also worked for Martin Seed Co. and farmed in Carroll County.

He was a member of Walton Masonic Lodge, Delphi IOOF and Rockfield Presbyterian Church.

John enjoyed playing cards with his euchre group. He was a former Carroll County 4-H leader. One of the things John was most proud of was the fact that he had been married to his wife for 70 years.

Survivors include his wife, Velma Myers, Logansport; daughters, Nancy Nulf, Kokomo, and Diana Hershberger and husband, Tony, Logansport; sister, Jean Ferriera, Portland, Ore.; half sister, Beverly Carney, Jamestown, Ind.; brothers, Richard Myers and wife, Martina, Logansport, James Myers and wife, Lena, Logansport; half brother, Robert Myers and wife, Joyce, Fishers; stepbrother, Stanley Hampton, Fishers; three grandchildren, John Wynn, Kokomo, Tina Wynn, Kokomo, Kelly Henry and wife, Kristi, New Waverly; and great-grandchildren, Scotty Wynn and Brayden Wynn, Kokomo, and Kayleigh, Kassidy and Kyle Henry, New Waverly.

A sister, Ilene Myers, and a half brother, Nicholas Myers, preceded in death.

Burial will be in Ever-Rest Cemetery. Visitation will be 2–6 p.m. Sunday, June 14, at Gundrum Funeral Home.
