John F. Shultz, 84, of Logansport, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014 in his residence.
Born August 10, 1929 in Plymouth, Indiana, he was the son of the late August M. and Lois M. (Cook) Shultz.
On July 9, 1949 in Osceola, Indiana he married Betty M. White who preceded in death on October 21, 1996.
John was a the former General Manager at Bill Cox Pontiac. He was a 1948 graduate of Mishawaka High School and a lifetime member of Elks Lodge #66. John was an avid sports fan of the New York Yankees, Notre Dame, and NASCAR. He also enjoyed watching his grandchildren play softball and golf.
Surviving is one son, Richard V. (Shirley) Shultz, Logansport; granddaughter, Brandie (Matt) Farris, Logansport; grandson, Richard V. (Melinda) Shultz, Kewanna; four great grandchildren, Sarah & Kylie Farris; Madison & Bailey Shultz; two sisters, Carolyn and Judy, Elkhart; and one brother, Arthur Shultz, Florida.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Dick Shultz; two sisters, Ruth and Janet; and special friend Patty Gross.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, August 7, 2014 in the Gundrum Funeral Home. An ELKS Service will be held just prior to the funeral service. Burial will be at Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Logansport.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Thursday.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Cass County Human Society or your favorite charity.
