Joseph Minthorn Sr

LOGANSPORT — .Joseph Alan Minthorn Sr., 59, Logansport, died at 9:50 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.

He was born Aug. 13, 1953, in Logansport, to James Harry Minthorn and Elsie Virginia Hall. He married Nancy A. Tyler Feb. 1, 1975, in Logansport.

He worked for Tri-Green Tractor for 17 years. He was a 1972 graduate of Caston High School. Joe enjoyed going to work, driving his semi, and spending time with his family especially his two grandsons. He got more enjoyment from helping others than helping himself.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy, Logansport, two sons, Joseph Alan Minthorn Jr., Logansport, and Mike Minthorn and wife Julie, Monticello; grandsons Easton Minthorn and Dayton Minthorn; and several nieces and nephews

One brother, Bob Minthorn, preceded him in death. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Gundrum Funeral Home with the Rev. Aaron Gross officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope

Cemetery, Logansport. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Gundrum Funeral Home.
