Joyce Shoup

Joyce E. Shoup, 59, of Metea, passed away Thursday September 20, 2018 at 5:24 am in Indiana University Hospital of Indianapolis.

Born May 14, 1959 in Logansport to the late Robert Lee and Elsie M. (Button) Shoup.

Joyce worked as an office worker at various car dealerships. She was a 1977 graduate and Valedictorian of Caston High School and a member of Metea Baptist Church.

Survivors include one sister, Janet (Mike) Ousley, Columbia City; one brother, Jeff Shoup, Muncie; Nephew, Kyle (Ashton) Ousley, Markle; Niece, Katherine Turner, Maitland, FL; Great Nieces and nephews, Kamryn Turner, Mason Turner, Parker Ousley and Porter Ousley; three aunts, Virginia (Eldon) Gohn, Rochester; Lois (Jeff) Brandon, Winamac; Karen Shoup, Twelve Mile; one uncle, Donnie (Sharon) Button, Kewanna; two very close friends, Michaela Slisher and Jane Campbell.

One sister, two aunts, two uncles and a cousin have preceded in death.

A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 am Monday September 24, 2018 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Foreman officiating. Burial will follow in the Metea cemetery.

A visitation will be held from 1-4 pm Sunday in the Gundrum Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Cass County Humane Society or to the Metea Baptist Church.
