Juanita Downhour

Juanita J. Downhour, 87, of Logansport, passed away Monday, June 9, 2014 at Woodbridge Health Campus in Logansport.

Born on November 4, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Ivan and Ethel (Amos) Mohler. On March 7, 1944 in Kokomo, Indiana she married Ernest F. Downhour who preceded in death on June 28, 1996.

Juanita was a former secretary for Construction Associates. She enjoyed all of her pets, especially her dog "Puppy".

Surviving are three daughters, Cheryl (Cliff) Ellis, Logansport; Tanya (Chris) Shelton, Kokomo; and Melody (Miles) Scull, Tempe, AZ; son, Gregory K. (Linda) Downhour, Walton; sister, Evelyn Richardson, Logansport; seven grandchildren, Jodi (Matt) Hood, Peru; Kimberly (Jason) Eberly, Attica, IN; Brian (Sheri) Gaillard, Winamac; Stacey (Marc) Shilts, Logansport; Carmen Harper, Michigan City, IN; Kristin Scull & Liam Scull, both of Tempe, AZ; four great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, June 12, 2014 in the Ever-Rest Memorial Park Chapel with Pastor Aaron Gross officiating.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 PM on Wednesday, June 11 in the Gundrum Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Guardian Angel Hospice.
