Juanita Ruth Samsel Frick, 96, Logansport, died at 3:55 a.m. Thursday, June 28, 2012, at Bickford Cottage in Wabash.

Born Sept. 17, 1915, in Cass County, she was the daughter of Homer Samsel and Merle Stevens. She was married June 27, 1952, in Logansport, to Homer F. Frick, who preceded in death Sept. 22, 1985.

She retired from H.W. Gossard Company, was a member of the Olde Towne Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution and a life member of the VFW Post 3790 Women’s Auxillary.

Surviving are sister, Margaret Wilson, Burbank, Calif.; several nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and nephews; several great-great-nieces and nephews; and several great-great-great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Gundrum Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Logansport.

Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Due to her having two great-great-nephews who preceded her in death due to Muscular Dystrophy and currently having one great-great-great-nephew with the disease, memorial contributions may be made to Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy, 401 Hackensack Ave., Hackensack NJ 07601.
