Katherine P. Martin

Private services for Katherine P. Martin, 95, Logansport, will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery.

She died at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2007, in her daughter’s residence.

Born March 23, 1912, in Huntington, she was the daughter of Albert and Jessie M. Snyder Leicht. She was married Oct. 29, 1933, in Logansport, to Emerson H. Martin, who preceded in death Dec. 18, 1978.

Katherine was a sales lady for Milford’s Casual Corner for 10 1/2 years and also worked for Plotner’s Style Shop for 16 years.

She attended Cross-Wind United Methodist Church, was a former member of Fidelity Chapter 58 Order of the Eastern Star and was a member of the UTU Auxiliary of Lodge 436 of Fort Wayne.

Surviving are one daughter, Sandra S. Saunders and her husband, Dean, Logansport; one sister, Helen Kihm, Tamarac, Fla.; two great-granddaughters, Brandi Rose Martin and Katherine Marie Martin, both of Mexico; and several nieces and nephews.

One son, Stephen Martin; one grandson, Shane Allan Martin; and one sister, Margaret Walker, preceded in death.

Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Logansport.

There will be no visitation. Gundrum Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
