Kathleen Kay (Plantz) King, 67, of Twelve Mile, IN, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2017 in her residence surrounded by her family.
Born on October 14, 1950 in Rochester, IN, she was the daughter to the late Robert and Alyce (Sheane) Plantz. On March 22, 1970 in the Fulton Baptist Temple she married Arthur L. King who survives.
Kathleen was a homemaker. She was a 1968 graduate of Kewanna High School and a 10-year Fulton County 4-H member and a 25 year 4-H Club leader. She enjoyed cooking, quilting and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving along with her husband Arthur are two daughters, Karin (Rob Berger) King, Michigan City, IN; Debra (Karl) Galey, Lawrenceburg, IN; two sons, Steven A. King, Twelve Mile, IN; Michael (Jennifer Willis) King, St. John, IN; five grandchildren, Kaylan, Alyson and Maegan Galey, Gaven and Bennett King; siblings, Fred Plantz, Susan Sheane and Karen Field; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Don Plantz; one nephew Danny Scales and father-in-law, Lyman King.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, December 10, 2017 in the Metea Baptist Church from 1:00pm until 3:00pm. Burial will be held at a later date in the Fulton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Metea Baptist Church.
