Kathleen Michael

Kathleen G. Michael, 86, Camden, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2014 in Delphi IN.

Born on October 25, 1927 in Carroll County, IN she was the daughter to the late Jay and Opal (Gray) Appleton.

On December 18, 1946 in Young America she married Harry J. Michael who preceded in death on July 20, 2006.

Kathleen was a homemaker. She was a former Sunday School teacher for 25 years and a member of the Clymer's United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Women's Society of the church. Kathleen was a member and Past Worthy Matron of the Deer Creek Order of Eastern Star and was a 1946 graduate of Deer Creek High School.

Surviving are two sons, Gary (Lynn) Michael, Camden, IN; Bill (Nancy) Michael, Camden, IN; two brothers, Harold "Pork" (Marsha) Appleton, Walton, IN; Charles (Carolyn) Appleton, Burrows, IN; brother-in-law, Bernard Slusser, Logansport, IN; three sister-in-laws, Mary Ann Downhour, Walton, IN; Shelby Appleton, Logansport, IN; Jean Appleton, Burrows, IN; five grandchildren, Shelley (Jeff) Edmondson, Terra Haute, IN; Greg (Maggie) Michael, Rossville, IN; Brad (Amie) Michael, Greenood, IN; Ryan (Chrissy) Michael, Lafayette, IN; Kris (Amy) Michael, Fishers, IN; ten Great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Three brothers, Robert Appleton, Joe Appleton, Tom Appleton and one sister Jane Slusser, preceded her in death.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00AM on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Carolyn DeWitt officiating. Burial will follow at St. Johns Cemetery in Logansport, IN.

Visitation will be held at Gundrum Funeral Home from 4:00PM till 8:00PM Wednesday October 15, 2014.

Memorials may be made to the Clymer's United Methodist Church.
