Services for Kent Russell VanSickle, 46, of Logansport, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Gundrum Funeral Home.
He died Wednesday, March 15, 2006, in The Heart Center of Indiana, Carmel.
Born Oct. 31, 1959, in Kokomo, he was the son of William F. and Barbara J. Daily VanSickle. He was married Sept. 9, 1979, in Logansport, to Miriam Polen, who survives.
A 1978 graduate of Northwestern High School, Mr. VanSickle was a supervisor at Modine Manufacturing for 23 years.
Kent enjoyed restoring antique engines and outboard motors. He especially enjoyed restoring vintage International pickup trucks.
He was a former Pixie League Softball and Little League Baseball coach. In his spare time, he also enjoyed fly fishing and research on the Inner-Urban Rail System.
Also surviving are one son, Brentt VanSickle, Logansport; twin sons, Brock VanSickle and Brandon VanSickle, both of Logansport; his father, William VanSickle and his wife, Midge, Hot Springs Village, Ark.; his mother, Barbara Engle and her husband, David, Kokomo; one sister, Jill A. VanSickle, Boulder, Colo.; mother-in-law, Mary Polen, Logansport; three sisters-in-law, Diana Martin and her husband, Bill, and Nancy Arnett and her husband, Gary, all of Logansport, and Darlene Thompson and her husband, Mike, Indianapolis; a grandmother-in-law, Florence Polen, Logansport; several aunts and uncles; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Pastor Mark Deckinga will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
