Larry Joe Williams, 71, Kokomo, died at 9:10 a.m. Saturday, July 24, 2010, in his residence.

Born Feb. 18, 1939, in Cass County, he was the son of Truman Gayle Williams and Elsie B. Fellers. He was married July 3, 1990, in Spring Hill, Tenn., to Linda Lou Wolfe Lantz.

Larry was a retired Janitor, and a member of the VFW Post 1152 in Kokomo. He also was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Surviving are his wife, Linda Williams, Kokomo; son, Michael A.
Williams and wife, Linda, Logansport; stepson, Roy Lantz, Alabama, and Kevin Lantz, Logansport; stepdaughter, Rose Lantz Spencer, Peru; brother, Charles Williams and wife, Sue, Kokomo; brother, Ted Williams and wife, Renee, Kokomo; sisters, Linda L. Clements and husband, Pete, Logansport, and Carol Sue Kurtz, Burlington; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Jackie Lee Williams; and one great-grandson, Elisha Michael.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the VFW Post 1152, 920 N.Washington St., Kokomo, with Pastor Robert Ritter officiating.

Memorials may be made to St. Judes Children’s Hospital Cancer Research Foundation.
