Lauren Shirley

Services for Lauren A. Shirley, 18, Logansport, will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Gundrum Funeral Home.

She died at 1:08 p.m. Sunday, March 15, 2009, in the emergency room at Logansport Memorial Hospital.

Born Dec. 9, 1990, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Glenn Shirley and Deana Rush.

Lauren was a student at Logansport High School.

She enjoyed scrap booking, singing, taking pictures (especially of herself) and reading.

Surviving are her mother, Deana Sobel, Logansport; her father, Glenn Shirley and wife, Phoebe, Rockford, Ill.; brothers, Lance Shirley, Rockford, Ill., and Samuel Sobel, Monticello; stepbrother, David Way, Rockford, Ill.; paternal grandparents, Georgiann and Ray Browning, Cherry Valley, Ill.; paternal grandfather, Lance Shirley, Texas; and several aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by grandparents, Patricia Myers and Carl Dean Rush; and one stepbrother, Steven Way.

The Rev. Doug Mankell will officiate.

Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Calvary Presbyterian Church Nursing Scholarship Fund.
