Lawrence Harbert

Lawrence "Larry" Harbert, 94 of Logansport, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Memorial Hospital in Logansport.

Born September 3, 1920 in Loganpsort, he was the son of the late William Charles and Mary Jane (Jones) Harbert.  On April 1, 1972 in Logansport he married Thelma Posey who preceded in death on December 25, 2003.

Larry worked for the R.B.M for over 45 years. He was a United States Navy Veteran serving on the U.S.S. Pennsylvania during WWII.

Surviving is one daughter, Linda J. (Duane) Watts, Logansport; three grandsons, Joseph D. (Nicole) Watts, Logansport; Larry B. (Allison) Sayles, St. George, UT; Jason H. Watts, Schomburg, IL; granddaughter, Lora J. (Richard) Lewis, Elwood, IN; seven great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Lana Joyce Harbert; two brothers, William Charles Harbert Jr.& Robert Lee Harbert; one sister, Florence R. Silvey.

A celebration of life  will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the Logansport branch, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Saturday at the church.

Memorials may be made to the Cass County Humane Society.
