Lawrence C. ‘Larry’ Lamere
Services for Lawrence C. “Larry” Lamere, 73, Logansport, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Gundrum Funeral Home.
He died at 7:18 a.m. Monday, Sept. 29, 2008, in St. Vincent Seton Specialty Hospital, Indianapolis.
Born Jan. 8, 1935, in Wausau, Wis., he was the son of Lawrence C.
Sr. and Marie Harriet Krause Lamere. He was married Aug. 5, 1961, in Logansport, to Marilyn E. Murray, who survives.
He retired May 31, 1980, from the U.S. Air Force. Lawrence had served in the Vietnam and Korean Wars.
He was a member of VFW Post 3790, American Legion Post 60, Disabled American Veterans of Indiana and Voiture 729 40 & 8. He was also a member of Walton Masonic Lodge 423, Eastern Star of Royal Center and IBN Saud Grotto of Kokomo.
Surviving with his wife are daughters, Colleen Adams and husband, Keith, and Daphne Holland and husband, Brian, Bloomington; brother, David Lamere and wife, Marilyn, Kenosha, Wis.; and three grandchildren, Thane Adams, Shelby Adams and Alexandria Holland.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Ronald Lamere.
Pastor Sharon Walker will officiate. Burial, with full military graveside rites, will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where Masonic services will be held at 7:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent Seton Specialty Hospital of Indianapolis Memorial Fund.
