Lois Hizer

Lois J. Hizer, 70, of Logansport, passed away Friday, August 20, 2021, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Born on October 3, 1950, Lois is the daughter to the late Walter R. and Evelyn (Reese) Yocum.

Lois had worked at Chase Center, T.M. Morris and delivered newspapers for the Pharos-Tribune in Logansport.

Surviving Lois is three daughters, Michelle Taylor of Anderson; Amy Furgerson of Marion; Angel (Richie) Cox of Lafayette; three sons, Raymond (Rhythm) Hartman of Fort Wayne; Jim (Sonja) Johnston of Oxford, IN; Lloyd (Loretta) Long of Logansport; 16 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Rick (Missy) Yocum of Logansport; sister, Wanda Medbourn of Arizona; several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, August 27, 2021, at Gundrum Funeral Home & Crematory. A private burial will take place in the Pisgah Cemetery, west of Logansport.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00 PM until the time of service on Friday, also at Gundrum Funeral Home & Crematory.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
