Lorene Dawson

Lorene A. Dawson, 94 of Logansport, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Chase Center in Logansport.

Born on December 2, 1925 in Logansport, she is the daughter to the late Arthur and Mildred Irene (Leisure) Smith.  On June 25, 1944 in the Logansport E.U.B. Church she married Robert Lee Dawson who preceded her in death on November 5, 2007.

Lorene was a homemaker and a member of Shiloh Christian Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Diana Winings, Logansport; Jody K. (Tom) Milstead, Burlington; Vickie (Kerry) Hults, Logansport; daughter in law, Mary Dawson, Jones, MI; grandchildren, Terry (Carie) Winings, Lori Carbaugh, Robin (Brad) McBride, Rachel (Paul) Wagner, Zachary Dawson, Tonya (Neil) Myers, Karla (Christopher) Costner, Kyle (Linsey) Reed; twenty great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Steven Dawson; a brother, Arthur Smith; and two sisters, Helen Apt and Jean Etnier.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 9, 2019 at Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Tim McKaig officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of services on Monday.
