Lucille O. "Baker" Maloney, 83, of Logansport, passed away Friday, December 13, 2013, surrounded by her family, at 3:09 PM in Memorial Hospital, Logansport.
Born March 5, 1930 in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Ollie and Mary (Gloser) Baker. On March 3, 1950 in Logansport she married William "Art" Maloney who preceded in death on August 1, 2013.
Lucille was the former book keeper for WSAL, Mike Anderson Auto, Courier Express, Ottinger Machine and Bill Cox Pontiac. She was a member of the Grace Belles and Grace Fellowship Church. She was an avid piano player and treasurer of the church. Lucille graduated from Washington Township School and attended Ball State University. In the 1940's she played on the Logansport Merchants Softball Team. Lucille enjoyed gardening, canning ,baking apple pies and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are two daughters, Barb (Jim) Zimmerman; and Miki (Joe) Brown, both of Logansport; two sons, Bill (Fran) Maloney, Logansport; Mike Maloney, Battle Creek, MI; nine grandchildren, Heidi (Jeff) Brown; Holly Fultz, both of Logansport; Nicole Maloney, Arizona; Dusty (Bryan) Watts, Denver, CO; Brandon Emerson; Michael Maloney; Jerrica Maloney, all of Battle Creek, MI; Ethan Brown, and Ed (Kim) Zimmerman, both of Logansport; twelve great grandchildren; Sister, Marian Campbell, Logansport; brother, Larry Baker, Danville, IN.
She was preceded in death by six brothers, and two sisters.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Jay McKinley officiating. Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Logansport.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 PM Monday, December 16, 2013 also in the funeral home.
