September 9, 1922 - April 21, 2014

Lyman Arthur "Bud" King, age 91, of Rochester, Indiana, died at 11:07 pm Monday, April 21, 2014 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Born September 9, 1922 in Fulton County, IN, he was the son of the late Virgil and Fleetie (Crippen) King. On March 18, 1945 in Fulton County, he married Helen Rentschler who survives.

Lyman was a retired farmer and attended the Metea Baptist Church. He was a 1940 graduate of Fulton High School. He enjoyed turning the soil in the springtime and harvesting the crops in the fall. He enjoyed his livestock and especially his beloved companion dog "Lucy". He loved seeing and spending time with his family and enjoyed family gatherings.

Survivors also include three sons and one daughter, Arthur (Kathleen) King of Twelve Mile, IN; Rosemary (Bruce) Scales of Rochester, IN; Bobby (Penny) King of AZ; Donald (Ellen) King of Rochester, IN; twelve grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; two step grandchildren; three great step grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Lyman was preceded in death by his father, Virgil King, mother, Fleetie King, three sisters, Anna Hartman, Alice Friedrich, Luella Emery and grandson, Danny Joe Scales.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, April 25, 2014 at the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Cordes officiating. Interment will follow in the Ever-Rest Memorial Park Cemetery near Logansport, IN.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2014 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Gundrum Funeral Home located at 1603 East Broadway Logansport, IN.
