Lyman Madary

Lyman E. “Whitey” Madary, 87, of Logansport, passed away Saturday July 20, 2019 in Millers Merry Manor, Logansport.

Born April 8, 1932 in Fulton County, IN, Lyman was the son to the late John and Flora (Westwind) Madary.

On February 27, 1960 in North Manchester, IN he married Mary Jane Shotts who preceded in death December 6, 2002.

Lyman was a retired truck driver for Superior Parts. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, racing, motorcycles and spending time with family.

Surviving is a daughter-in-law Linda Madary, Lucerne, IN; two granddaughters, Rachel (Justin Ross) Madary, Niles, MI; Rachelle (Tommy) Ellis, Indianapolis, IN; two great-granddaughters, Kylee Madary, Niles, MI; Haley Rentschler, Indianapolis, IN; grandson, Michael (Mary Beth) Rentschler, Indianapolis, IN; two great-grandsons, Garrett Ross, Niles, MI; and Levi Rentschler, Indianapolis, IN; daughter, Linda Rentschler and son, Dutch Rentschler.

Preceding Lyman in death are two sons, Michael Rentschler, John A. Madary and one great-grandson, Jarrett Ellis.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday July 25, 2019 in Gundrum Funeral Home with Ralph Shotts Officiating. Burial will follow in Ever-Rest Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held from 12:00pm until the time of the service at Gundrum Funeral Home.
