Mac Ison

Mac D. Ison, 69, of Logansport passed away Monday, September 1, 2014 in his residence.

Born August 7, 1945 in Logansport, he was the son of Gene E. (McLoskey) Ison.

On April 2, 1977 in Logansport he married Katherine L. Emanuel who survives.

Mac was a retired cable installer with Roberts Trenching Co. He was a 1963 graduate of Caston High School. Mac was a member of Lucerne Christian Church where he was a Deacon. Mac enjoyed playing cards with his friends, talking with his cousin Tim McCloskey daily, watching NASCAR, and sports. He loved to tinker and spend time outside around his house on the river. He cherished the time he was able to spend with his grandchildren.

Surviving along with his wife are two sons, Wade (Anita) Ison, Carmel; Douglas (Sandy) Wally, Logansport; grandchildren, Jessica (Jason) Brown, Gooditsville, TN; Jared Wally, Amanda Roller, and Rosa Hatton, Logansport; Russell Hatton, Peru; Sophia Ison and Elise Ison, both of Carmel; sisx great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by one son, John Wally.

A celebration of life will be held at 5:00 PM on Friday, September 5, 2014 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Dirk Raderstorf officiating.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until the time of service on Friday.
Memorials may be made to the Lucerne Christian Church.
