Madonna Lee Plotner, age 81,of Carmel, IN, formerly of Logansport, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2008 at the Clairon North Hospital of Indianapolis. Born to Winnie and Gladys (Kratzer) Miller of Converse, IN on July 31, 1926. Madonna attended Marion Business College and was a State Champion Softball Pitcher. She married Ray Plotner of Amboy, IN on November 7th 1948. Ray and Madonna owned Plotner?s Shoe Tree in Logansport for 50 years. Madonna owned and managed several apartments in Logansport and was a caring landlord. She was co-chairman of the Logansport Performing Arts Association and was a 60 year member of the Psi Iota Psi Service Sorority. She was the loving and devoted mother of Leesa Ehret, who survives and Troy Plotner, who preceded her in death. She was also a wonderful and very involved grandmother of Adam, Emilee, Troy, and Olivia. Madonna was also preceded in death by brothers, Lauren Miller, and Meredith Miller. Surviving brothers are, Robert Miller and wife Mary Ellen; Converse; Rev. Dr. Clayton Miller of New York, and Donal Ben Miller of Florida also surviving are several nieces , nephews, close cousins, and dear friends. Visitation hours will be held from Noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at St. Luke?s Methodist Church in Indianapolis, with a celebration of life immediately following at 2:00 p.m. There will also be a visitation on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Gundrum Funeral Home in Logansport, IN, with a service held at 2:00 p.m. and burial immediately following in Zion Cemetery in Kokomo, IN. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Luke?s Methodist Church in Indianapolis.
