Marcia A. Peterson

Services for Marcia A. Peterson, 56, Logansport, will be held at 4:30 p.m. Thursday in Gundrum Funeral Home.

She died at 5:34 p.m. Monday, June 4, 2007, in Howard Regional Health System in Kokomo.

Born Aug. 19, 1950, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Donald and Eleanor M. Bewley Purdue. She was married June 13, 1970, in Logansport, to James R. Peterson, who survives.

Marcia was a psychiatric attendant at the Logansport State Hospital for 25 years and had also worked at General Tire Company.

She enjoyed needlepoint, crafts, reading and spending time with family and friends.

Also surviving are one daughter, Lisa Shanabarger and her husband, Dana, Delphi; one son, Dustin Peterson, Logansport; her mother, Eleanor M. Purdue, Logansport; one sister, Sandra K. Bussell and her husband, William, North Vernon; and two granddaughters, Mariah and Shyan Shanabarger, Delphi.

Pastor Aaron Gross will officiate at the services. Burial will be private at a later date.

Friends may call one hour before services Thursday in the funeral home.
