Margaret O. Bennett, 92, Metea, died at 1:50 p.m. Sunday, March 7, 2010, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Logansport.

Born March 15, 1917, in Dotyville, Wis., she was the daughter of Frederick Petri and Frances Konen. She was married March 5, 1935, in Fond du Lac, Wis., to Dallas “Dick” Bennett, who preceded in death May 12, 1997.

Margaret was a homemaker and former co-owner of Bennett’s Standard Station in Metea.

She was a member of All Saint’s Catholic Church. Former member of the Bethlehem Township Home Economics Club for over 60 years. Margaret enjoyed gardening, knitting and crocheting doilies with names.

Surviving are daughters, Sherrill McLochlin and husband, James, Louisville, and Linda Scott and husband, James, Rochester; son, Ronald Bennett and wife, Marcia, Logansport; sister, Frances Marie Antisdel, Grafton, Wis.; seven grandchildren, Layne Wine and husband, Kevin, North Carolina, David McLochlin, Louisville, Scott McLochlin and wife, Julie, Louisville, Kris Martin, Logansport, Joseph Bennett and wife, Liz, Logansport, Jeffery Bennett and wife, Lori, Logansport, and Jay Bennett, New Mexico; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by one brother, three sisters and one daughter.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in All Saints Catholic Church with Father Mike McKinney officiating.

Burial will be in Metea Cemetery, Metea.

There will be no visitation.

Gundrum Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Association and Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
