Margie J. Muckenfuss, 85, of Lafayette, formerly of Logansport, died at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010, at her daughterâs residence in Elkhart.
Born Feb. 26, 1925, in Fulton, she was the daughter of the late Robert R. Crain and Ruth Insley.
Her marriage was to Paul Muckenfuss in September of 1954 in Logansport. He preceded her in death Jan. 6, 1968.
Mrs. Muckenfuss retired from the laundry department at Camelot Care Center.
She enjoyed knitting and crossword puzzles.
Surviving are two daughters, Debra Shuck (husband: Chester) of Elkhart and Betty Tucker (husband: Bub) of Logansport; a son, John Muckenfuss (wife: Tina) of Lafayette; four brothers, Lawrence Crain of Arizona, Robert Crain of Oklahoma, Bill Abbott of Rochester, Ind., and Don Abbott of Lapaz; and two sisters, Norma Faulkner of Warsaw and Betty Leedy of Freemont.
Also surviving are 17 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 2 children, Ronald Eugene Muckenfuss and Paula Shipley, and 3 brothers.
Services 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10, 2010, at Gundrum Funeral Home, Pastor David Payton officiating. Burial Mount Hope Cemetery in Logansport.
Visitation from noon until time of services Friday.
