Marian L. Evans, 69, Logansport, died at 3:53 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010, in St. Vincent Hospital Indianapolis.
Born Dec. 19, 1940, in Chattanooga, Tenn., she was the daughter of Marion Frances Hall and Hazel L. Newberry. She was married Aug. 13, 1960, in Logansport, to Roger Evans who survives.
A 1959 graduate of Logansport High School, Marian was a homemaker.
She was a member of Helm Street Church of God, enjoyed needle pointing, painting, ceramics, reading, cooking and taking care of children. She was a vital part to the beginning of the Helm Street Daycare.
Surviving with her husband, Roger Evans, Logansport, are son, Brian Evans, Logansport; daughter, Kathy Evans Logansport; granddaughter, Kira Evans, Lafayette; sisters, Francis Hale and husband, Bill, Indianapolis, Wanda Walker, Arundel, Maine, and Brenda Hoch and husband, Victor, Kokomo; brother, David Hall and wife, Peggy, Winter Springs, Fla., and Michael Hall and wife, Debbie, Indianapolis; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Carl R. Hall.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Dean Snyder officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
