Marietta Zeider

Marietta I. Zeider, 87 of Logansport, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at the Indiana Veterans Home in West Lafayette, IN.

Born on October 5, 1930 in Sheridan, Indiana, she was the daughter to the late Clarence and Eunice (Kittenger) Downs.  On June 29, 1946 in Cass County, Indiana she married William E. Zeider who preceded in death October 27, 1979.

Marietta was a homemaker. In her spare time, she enjoyed collecting rocks and working outdoors.

Surviving are two sons, Kenneth D. (Sarah) Zeider; William R. Zeider, both of Logansport; daughter, Gail R. Truax, Peru, IN; brother, Lorrie “Buck” (Barb) Downs, Sheridan; three sisters, Rita Mae Eli, Indianapolis; Norma (Bob) Anderson, Noblesville, IN; Cynthia (Henry) Robinson, Frankfort; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, a sister, a great grandson, Alex and a daughter, Melva Reames

Graveside services for Marietta will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 in the Bethel Cemetery, Logansport. Chaplain Tom Covington will be presiding over the services.
