Marion L. Kistler, 69, Logansport, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis, IN.
Born on December 4, 1944, he was the son of the late Howard C. and Stella L. (Nethercut) Kistler.
On February 9, 1964 in Logansport, he married Connie L. Beckman, who survives.
Marion retired from Chrysler in 2006. He then worked as a school bus driver for the Logansport School Corporation since 2007. Marion loved western movies, traveling out west and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed sports including the New York Yankees and especially Notre Dame Football. Marion enjoyed the company of his two English bulldogs, Sidney and Annie.
Surviving Marion including his wife is one daughter, Shelly Ferguson, Logansport, IN; two sons, Jeff (Brenda) Kistler, Fishers, IN; Jim Kistler, Logansport, IN; sister, Janice Neal, Logansport, IN; brother, Charles (Fran) Kistler, Dry Ridge, KY; seven grandchildren, Scott Douglass, Heather (Eric) Myers, Kyle Douglass, Nathan Kistler, Nicole Kistler, Matthew Kistler and Michael Kistler, one great grandson, Tidus Myers and several nieces and nephews.
Five sisters, Joan Wren, Jean Black, Garnet Haffey, Thelma Prentice, Maryellen Walters; three brothers, Jim, Jay and Keith Kistler; one grandson, Andrew Ferguson, preceded in death.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Gundrum Funeral Home on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 9:30AM with Dr. George Plasterer officiating. Burial will follow at St. Johns Cemetery, Logansport, IN.
Visitation hours will be from 4:00PM - 7:00PM Friday, November 14, 2014 at Gundrum Funeral Home.
