Marion L. Minks, age 92, of Logansport, passed away at 4:28 am Sunday, April 14, 2013, at Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born August 30, 1920 in Bloomfield, Indiana, he was the son of the late Guy and Edith Constable Minks. On September 26, 1941 in Bloomfield, Marion married Marjorie L. Corwin who survives.
Marion retired from Logan Machine Company in 1983 after 42 years of service.
He attended the First Church of the Nazarene and was a WW2 Army Veteran who received a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart while serving his country.
Surviving along with his wife are two sons, Terry (Joyce) Minks, Tucson, AZ, and Daniel (Charlotte) Minks, Parrish, FL; one daughter, Marilyn (Craig) Hubler, Portland, OR; two brothers, Mervin Minks and Paul (Martha Jean) Minks, both of Logansport; one sister, Martha Becker, Cincinnati, OH; eight grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, April 19, 2013 at the Gundrum Funeral Home with Dr. Horace Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport.
Visitation will be held from 4 - 8 PM Thursday, April 18, 2013, in the Gundrum Funeral Home
