LOGANSPORT â Marjorie G. DeWitt, 92, Logansport, passed away at 12:55 p.m. Friday, July 15, 2011, at Logansport Memorial Hospital.
She was born May 30, 1919, in Peru, to Louis Gerald Shambarger and Bernice Esther Cover Shambarger.
She was married on March 23, 1939, in Macy, to Charles Clifford DeWitt, who preceded in death Oct. 17, 1989.
Marge hired in at RBM in 1957, and she retired in 1982. She was a 1938 graduate of Deedsville High School. Her hobbies included fishing, sewing, mushroom hunting, crossword puzzles and reading.
Surviving are daughter, Barbara Raisor and husband, James, Logansport; son, Richard âDickâ DeWitt and wife, Caro, Logansport; brother, Herbert Shambarger and wife, Doris, Roann; five grandchildren, Christi Morris and husband, Paul, Logansport, Karen Smith, Atlanta, Ga., Rob Smith and wife, Crystal, Logansport, Sean DeWitt and wife, Heather, Royal Center, and Cassie Grandstaff and companion, Tim Hodgini, Logansport; great-grandchildren, Gavin Smith, Cooper Smith, Glendon Morris and wife, Eloise, Holland DeWitt, Brooklyn DeWitt, Trenton Peevler, Crystle Vaughan, Megan Vaughan and Tyler Grandstaff.
Four brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
Services are 1 p.m. Monday at Gundrum Funeral Home, with the Rev. Keith Schreffler officiating. Burial will be at Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Logansport .
Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
