Services for Marjorie E. Meyer, 84, Logansport, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. James Lutheran Church.

She died at 7:35 a.m. Monday, Dec. 29, 2008, in George Davis Manor, West Lafayette.

Born Jan. 13, 1924, in Onward, she was the daughter of William and Bessie Sloop Rush. She was married Oct. 19, 1947, in Logansport, to James N. Meyer, who preceded in death June 23, 1986.

She retired in 1988 as a medical secretary for Logan Internists.

She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church and the Home and Hobby Extension Homemakers Club.

Surviving are daughters, Nancy Meyer, Alexandria, Va., Jennifer Yonkers and husband, Ernest, Royal Oak, Mich., Rebecca Bell and husband, Tom, Woonsocket, R.I., and Amy Hutchison and husband, David, West Lafayette; son, Phil Meyer and wife, Cindy, Athens, Ohio; sisters, Lorraine Hunter, and Loretta Buckles and husband, John, all of Fort Wayne; brother, Jack Rush and wife, Virginia, Noblesville; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Morris Rush.

The Rev. Marvin Hinkle will officiate. Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Cass County.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Gundrum Funeral Home and one hour before services Saturday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. James Lutheran Church or the American Heart Association.
