Mark J. Harness, 37, of Twelve Mile passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at St. Elizabeth East Hospital in Lafayette, IN.
Born on December 13, 1976 in Logansport, he was the son of James M. and Cinda L. (Moss) Harness.
Mark was a Cattleman. He was a 4-H member for 10 years and took pride in grooming and showing his cattle. Mark graduated from Caston High School in 1996 where he was the chapter president of the FFA.
Surviving Mark, are his parents, Jim (Cinda) Harness, Lucerne, IN; two brothers, Blake (Charlotte) Harness, Lucerne; G.W. (Katie) Harness, Woodlawn, TN; Fiancé, Samantha G. Hopson, Twelve Mile; niece, Bailey Harness; nephew, Carson Harness, both of Lucerne; maternal grandfather, Leroy E. Moss, Logansport; step daughter, Lexi L. Scott; step son, Zakery L. Hopson, both of Twelve Mile; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Richard & Patricia Harness; and his maternal grandmother, Willidean Moss.
A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 PM on Saturday, May 10, 2014 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Cordes officiating.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until the time of service on Saturday.
Memorials may be made to the Cass County 4-H Association.
